MJC Construction was formed in August 2013. The company's key focus area's are in renovations and alterations off all sizes. Based in Auckland, the company's focus is on delivering timely, top quality service and finish.
Being a relatively new company MJC Construction has put a lot of time and effort into doing the simple things right from the start. Reliability and punctuality are one of the many hallmarks of this company. In a building industry full of exceptionally talented companies one has to put its best foot forward to gain public awareness and industry recognition.
The team at MJC do this by concentrating all of their resources on one project at a time, once they are engaged in a project you can be assured that they will be there to the end. Many companies have multiple projects running simultaneously which can lead to poor communication and incorrect information being delivered. Director Mark Cochrane believes that they owe it to their clients to put all there energy and focus into one project at a time. I can confirm that I have completed an extensive bathroom installation and remodel project with MJC Construction Ltd, during the months of June- Aug 2017.
During this time they have provided me with excellent levels of support from the initial consultation through to completion. I have limited knowledge and experience across the construction and remodeling industry, but Mark was able to provide outstanding knowledge and support, provided realistic timelines, was organised and efficient and had a team of capable tradesman to execute his plan.
Mark has superlative communication skills, so even while I was absent from the project for a month, I received regular updates, images and progress reports. Like many, I had a firm budget and Mark was also able to deliver on time and in budget.

We engaged the services of MJC Construction Limited for the renovation or our bungalow in Epsom. Mark’s team had a professional approach to all aspects of the renovation. We were provided with regular progress updates, costs were within budget and the works started and finished as scheduled. The result was outstanding due to the high level of craftsmanship. Mark has fantastic organisation skills with managing sub-trades, this took a lot of stress out of the renovation for us. While the renovation provided various challenges, Mark always took a positive approach and communicated clearly to ensure any issues were resolved in a quick and efficient manner. Earlier this year we began searching for a new home. One of our friends recommended Mark to us, to undertake a building inspection of a property that attracted our attention. He promptly completed the inspection and gave us a practical, yet comprehensive assessment of the house at a very reasonable price. Any questions or queries were discussed and answered fully. As a result of our good introductory experience with Mark we retained him to carry out a further building inspection of another home that we were particularly interested in.
In November 2014 we replaced some windows in our house and needed a builder to install them. The window manufacturer recommended Mark as a good builder to do the job. From the outset Mark was professional and efficient. It was a challenging job to replace the windows as they are upstairs and scaffold required. There were some obstacles during installation but Mark offered and executed a solution for every one and the replacement went very well.
We were impressed with the quality of Mark’s work, communication throughout the job and willingness and flexibility to take on other jobs around the house at short notice. We would not hesitate to employ Mark again to undertake building work and would highly recommend his services.
